News about the weekend is coming. Also -- NEED to get another job to dump Starbucks like... ASAP. Becuase this schedule is absofreakinglutely insane.

But onto something totally different.

So, sad to say, the_leaky is shutting it's doors. We have about a month left to play then we're closing it. I'm going to be VERY sad to see it go and it was a really tough decision to make. It was a lot of discussion and figuring out the ramifications of things. We're all still wibbly, but we decided it was for the best.

However, as they say in Sound of Music when God closes a door he opens a window. Our window is a new game called stoatshead_hill and is something completely different than Leaky. If you're looking for a canon-based post-war game, you've come to the right place!


Stoatshead Hill: A new post-war Harry Potter RPG.

In the year 2004, the drawn out battle to rid the world of Voldemort is finally over and it's time to rebuild. Voldemort and his minions have taken out every Wizarding institution, from the Ministry, St. Mungo's, and Diagon Alley to Gringott's, Hogsmeade, and Hogwarts. With none of the familiar places to gather, the Wizarding populace has carved out a new haven for themselves in and around Ottery St. Catchpole and Stoatshead Hill, an area abandoned by Muggles during the war.

Everything old is gone, and now it is time for the witches and wizards of Britain to rebuild their world, brick by brick.

This is an RPG with a ton of room for creativity and character development. Many years have passed since the events of HBP, and characters may have married, divorced, had children, been turned into werewolves, changed allegiances, followed divergent career paths, and much more. Building from the ground up will mean developing new laws and new institutions in character, in-game. If you're interested in a plotty, adult RPG with all sorts of possibilities for character interactions in a new world that needs to be started from scratch after Voldemort's demise, please apply!

Well... It's nearly 1pm... and I've been sitting here thinking a lot about 9-11 as a lot of people have been posting about. It's hard to imagine that it happened 4 years ago. I, like a lot of people I'm sure, still remember exactly where I was that day and will probably never forget that day either. 9:45 am we learned about it in Senior Religion seminar. After the bell run at 9:56, I went to my Humanities class where the TV was already on and we watched the news for the next 90 minutes.

I never saw either tower come down. I was too busy running down to the theatre office every ten minutes trying to call my mom to see if she had heard from my cousin yet. My cousin lived (and still does) in Queens but worked in Manhattan. I didn't know if Lisa had an audition down in that part of town and would have been down there early that morning. All I could think about was if something had happened to her because Lisa and I have always been SO close.

It was a horrible day... for everyone -- those who lost family and those who, like me, sat and watched the events unfold on a television monitor.

On a happier and lighter note. I'm finally getting back into the swing of role-playing again. My muses are back in full swing and are happy to be playing once again and this makes me UBER happy. I think I need to let Bella out a bit more for Evinco, even if she does tend to scare me, but that's beside the point. All the games I'm in are going great and that makes me happy.

My Sailor Moon game I'm in... the first game I EVER joined I don't know how many years ago, is now flourishing over on GJ. So if Sailor Moon is your thing... let me know. We have some great characters open. XD

And even happier news... I have a wonderful new game right now that I'm really, really excited about. It seems I now have not one but TWO evil enablers in regards to RPGs around here... *glares at froda_baggins and inell* About a week ago, the lovely Inell poked me and said the_leaky was in need of a Ron. I have never played Ron before but she poked and prodded and so I applied... and I got in. And am having an absolute blast. So if any of you guys out there want a nice PWP rpg to follow, Leaky is for you. :) andweneedafewotherpeopletoo*cough*

ETA: alright... not completely PWP as there's a lot of nice beautiful plot. XD see this weekend.
