An Update!

Ugh. I really was going to try and NOT do the sporadic updates. Then Cats happened. Closes this weekend and I can finally find myself again. No more legwarmers.

avengangle I suck. And yes, dinner one of these nights would rock. ♥

The Good
• Got a couple of scholarship offers. No more acceptances which is worrisome. But at least I have someplace.
• Who is continuing to eat my brain. In answer to the questions from the last post? I'm all the way through s1 now. I did things out of order to watch Jack's character arc so NOW am going back through to watch the whole thing. Who is LOVE. And I'm just sorry I was this stubborn for THIS long. Oi.
• Am now the proud owner of a 1950s RAF officer's greatcoat. I've been watching for them for YEARS and finally found one that will fit. And will be LONG.
• Weight watch: 203ish. So I've hit about the 30 lbs lost mark, give or take.

The Bad
• Yes, guess who is sick. ME! And this is on top of mother being deathly ill this past week too. Stayed home from work. Am about to go into the doc's and have bloodwork taken. JOY AND RAPTURE. Only not.
• Got Dinged by American two days ago. And their letter was RUDE. In not so many words they basically said "Yes, we saw your softs. But we look at LSATs and while some people could be successful even with low numbers, we don't think you will. Go to hell."

The Ugly
• Case Western. Sending me a package with a BIG-ASS WHITE ENVELOPE with the opening lines of "Thank you for your recent application to CWRU. On behalf of Dean Robert Rawson and our faculty and staff, I am pleased to provide you with the latest Admissions Bulletin for the school of law." Bastard. Don't start out a "here's info on the school" letter like a damned Acceptance letter. And people wonder why lawyers are jackasses.


♥ Finally getting back to my computer and starting to catch up with my flist. I know I haven't been commenting as much as I normally do, and I'm sorry. It's feeling like the old mental issues of lurking and hiding are creeping up. Which is one of the reasons I'm seeing the doc today and have them check my thyroid levels. My mood swings lately have been wretched. ♥ I love you guys. Seriously.

And, too, if you're having a bad day -- or even a good day! -- and want a hug from Lia, all comments to this post come with hugs. Just sayin'.

HAHAHA, YOU TOO? i totally just got into it last month. i have no idea why i put it off for so long, but i'm sorry i did. i'm pretty much in love with david tennant. *_* i have yet to see any episodes with any other doctor, though. :/ also have yet to see any of torchwood! but i do like jack, so maybe after i finish up doctor who, i'll take a look at it. :D

OMG. That's just about when I got in. :D I started with Torchwood but it's since gone to whoverse too. You muuuuust see Torchwood! I demand it! Maybe we should have plotting afoots... hrm... XD ♥

It is SUCH a good feeling. It's been so much medicinal weight coming off and I'm ALMOST to where I was when I started college too. Wearing size 14s is always a great feeling too. XD

Yeah, American was a real douche about it. *sigh* ah well. More I'm hearing though? It sounds like a blessing in disguise.

:-D I love you anyway. I've been sick as a dog since Sunday . . . again, after being sick as a dog for nearly a month in Dec./Jan., so I kind of understand. Although I'm either feeling better today, or at least properly drugged. Are you busy tonight? I could call, as I'm 90% certain I will be skipping band (can't go very long without coughing; feels rude to show up to band just to annoy people). If nothing else, we can at least set up a time when it doesn't seem to be snowing to go meet somewhere.

Also, I hope your mom is going to be okay. And you, of course.

re: American: what a rude letter!

Regarding Case, they sent me those over email, in a generic, "You might be interested in Case!" sort of way. They haven't so much as acknowledged my application or the fact that they might review it. Which I can survive, as there's one other school (starts with a G) that has done the same thing to me . . . but it just feels rude.

I know a lot of schools have deadlines after Feb. 1st, so maybe they're waiting for that to send out acceptances. I've been really surprised to get two acceptance letters so far (at vastly different schools) as I got them both in less than a month after I applied. You started getting acceptance letters about six weeks out, right?

♥ *smooch* ugh. What is going around this year!? seriously! I was actually curled up on the couch for 90% of the night. I'm home here for the next couple of days, so just give a call whenever.

Mom's getting better. Docs have her on some drugs to just mellow her out which is a lot of the problem too. She worries, gets stressed, and it's a vicious cycle. So we're just relaxing here for the next couple of days.

American are douches. More I've been hearing? Better off I am NOT going there.

What the hell is WITH these schools? Seriously! I honestly think they do this to us just to make us the evoil lawyers when we 'grow up'. But still. Frustrating. Grrr.

I got New England and Duquesne right about a month out and Ave Maria about six weeks. Same with my ding at OSU was around a month. Yeah, it was around six weeks and other than the ding at American, it's been quiet here. Bah!
