AND they're putting the DVDs out on the 28th of July. Talk about a quick turn around... just not sure if that's good or not. ;^/

Hopefully it'll air in the UK before that. My stupid cable company doesn't get BBC America and I doubt they'll suddenly add it to the line up before then. Plus BBC A cuts everything to ribbons, so it'll be the UK versions for me.

The dvds will be out here on July 28th though.

From what I've been hearing, it's the 20th for all of us. I don't care what I get right now, I'm that desperate for Torchwood right now. *sigh* tell me about the no BBCAmerica. Stupid Optimum cable. It's the one reason I'm talking to my landlord and seeing if I can get FiOS...

There was talk of it running in the UK earlier but the BBC never seem to make those sort of announcements in a timely manner in order to confuse ITV in terms of counter scheduling. LOL

I've emailed Optimum again to demand my BBC A (esp since there's now going to be BBC A HD -- even though I don't have HDTV, it seemed like a good thing to complain about not having. ;)) They gave me their usual b.s. about how they'll take it under advisement but have no current plans to carry the channel. *sigh* They're always stupid about adding things people *want* which is why it took them 12 years to get TCM when people I knew had it on their basic cable a decade ago. :-p Even my parents rinky dink cable co. upstate has BBCA on digital (which sadly, we don't have cos it's too expensive given how often we're there tehse days).

I'll just get it from the Internet Elves and buy the dvds. I'm annoyed because Amazon still doesn't have them listed for pre-order yet. When are you moving to NY, btw? We should have a viewing party once you've gotten settled. :)
