Sorry I haven't been around. That cold? Yeah, went to the doctor and the few things he prescribed for me... almost made me sicker. Yey for modern medicine, eh?

Isn't this where the saying 'the disease is worse than the cure' comes into play?

Also -- I will say that it's FRIGHTENING to watch House, hear him prescribe a medicine for pneumonia and look at the bottle of drugs you just got and see it's the same thing. Freakily coincidental is all I have to say.

However, the cough has gone (mostly. sorta.) and it no longer hurts to swallow. However, now DAD is getting sick. [livejournal.com profile] froda_baggins that clean room you were talking about? Might not be such a BAD idea.

BUT -- piece of very cool news. Figuring in with me and my Ralph obsession that is -- but remember when I got to see Faith Healer? Well, I had taken a video with my camera and the pictures you all got to see. So about a week ago I had the divine inspiration to contact the gal who runs ralph-fiennes.net. Needless to say the video and a few of my pictures are now up. See me slightly giddy.

The video rocks, so if you want to go see it, check out Ralph-Fiennes.net

Also -- will have fic soon. Yes, you heard right. Fic.

Re: House and pneumonia and medicines...

Have you ever seen the 1994/95 (first season) episode of ER with Bradley Whitford, in which the woman comes in pregnant and feeling crummy, and then everything goes crazy with her, and Anthony Edwards keeps trying to get the OB people to help and they're busy and put him off and it gets worse and worse, and eventually he has to do an emergency cesarian in the ER and the baby survives but the mother does not?

I saw that one when it originally aired and it killed me? But then I saw it again after the psycho nightmare that was the night Kid Two was born? and went, holy shit. that happened with us. and that. and that. and they did that. and and and.

...yeah.

YES. That's exactly what happened. I haven't seen that episode (actually, sadly never watched much of ER. I was more of a Chicago Hope girl) but, yes. And that... would be very much of a holy shit moment.

The conversation at home went like this:
Me: That's... the drug I'm on.
Dad: If you had Pneumonia, the doctor would have told you.
Me: *goes into coughing fit*
Patient on House: *goes into similar sounding coughing fit*
Me: You... uh, were saying?

... yeah. Freaky when that happens.
