So guess who's been majorly busy these past two days. Yeah, that would be me. Parents came into town for most of the day yesterday and brought me my babies: my electric epees. Thus, fencing is back on and I'm slowly going to work my way back up to competition level. It'll take some time, but I'm going to attempt to do it. I'm tired of just laying down and playing dead. I've taken a couple day hiatus away from LJ (sorry for not saying anything) to just think about a lot of things.

No, I'm not leaving any of you before you think about that.

And I'm really ready to just move onto a new stage in my life where the car accident is done and over and now it's just repairing and moving on. Yeah, it won't be easy -- especially when I sit in a pit and halfway through a show I can feel my shoulder start to give out -- or like last night when migraines come on at the worst possible times. I'll be on drugs for who knows how long... all from a guy who hit me. But I'm dealing better now than I have been in a long time and also have a better support group of friends than I ever have before. You know exactly who you are and I honestly don't know what I'd do without you gals.

As far as busy-ness goes, I'm enjoying the pace of classes right now. German can still bite me and I want my professor to take a flying leap, but I couldn't be happier with my music classes. Also right now, I'm writing my first program notes ever. I get to write for the major piece on this concert: the Vaughan Williams "A Sea Symphony" which really rocks.

Focusing on the positive and trying not to look at the bad stuff. That at least is the current game plan.

*pause* We'll see how long it lasts.
