Return Home from U of Mich

Well, Michigan rocked my world. I love the campus. It's HUGE but that's not necessarily a bad thing, now is it? I like the campus and I like who I've met on the faculty thus far. The music school leaves a bit to be desired in terms of the building but I think I was spoiled at BW. I mean, not every school can have windows in the practice rooms, now can it?

But the awesome thing, is if you're accepted they generally fund their grad students. Which means: $23,000 a semester PLUS a stipend of $12,000 a year.

I can deal with that.

I apologise for my spottiness tonight. We have some bad storms moving through here and dad doesn't like me to be online when a storm is moving through; thus, if I hear thunder I'm heading off.

I'll be back on Saturday with my copy of HBP completely read. I know there was a meme circulating for everyone to post, but I'm too lazy to do it. Thus, I'll just say this: you will find no spoilers here. I was spoiled when OotP came out and I won't let that happen for anyone else. It'll be under an LJ-cut when I share my thoughts and feelings.

I'm just hoping I won't have to throw this copy of the book across the room and there won't be another dent on my wall to match the dent from OotP...
