Here We Go... the day of the Recital
Apr. 2nd, 2005 11:38 amWell... I've survived to the morning of my recital. Well rested and feeling really good about everything.
(okay, the snow on the ground can die, but that's about all)
I'm just... it is what it will be tonight. I've done everything I can. I'm heading over to practice now and I'm actually going to play through some of Sweeney Todd (Yes, Andrew was good and actually gave me copies) first and then look at my stuff before my parents get here at 3:00.
The recital's at 7pm in the Chamber Hall and by 8pm or a little thereafter it will all be over and I'll be up in Vodrey partying it up with the few people who showed up (but knowing that the ones who showed were my closest friends and family) and just relieved that it's all over.
Talking to Strasser yesterday helped more than I could have ever thought. So I'm sorry for disappearing so early last night, but I wanted to get a lot of sleep (though, I ended up reading for a long while because my body's SO not used to trying to go to sleep around midnight) and I just feel... good.
Here goes nothing.
