Happy December!

Hey all -- No sooner had November come -- and now it's gone and we're into December already.

I've been insanely busy, but... hanging in there.

As far as all the wank that's been happening lately? Oye. I just would like to say that I am exactly who I say I am. Yes, Lia Doran is a penname, but most of us use pennames while online. The Doran, though -- is a family name. If any of you have ever wondered, it comes from the Irish side (on Dad's family). They were the ones who immigrated during the famine.

Otherwise? I am female and 22 years old. Am a musician... and have MOSTLY graduated from college. I'm just waiting for my bloody thesis advisor to read and grade my thesis. Because Baldwin-Wallace will not send my diploma until the BOTH degrees are, in their eyes, finished.

I'm obsessed with theatre. I'm obsessed with books -- primarily Harry Potter. I am who I say I am, or as Popeye would say: I yam, what I yam.

Seems as good a time as any -- time to ask Lia questions. If there's EVER been anything you wanted to know about me (within reason) ask. Now's your chance!

What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

I... that is... it's... I don't know!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! *splat*

What's your take on mustard?

[identity profile] thescarletwoman.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Depends. Sometimes I like the yellow stuff. But the best is the stadium mustard. That stuff that's brown and slightly spicy but not dijon. YUM.

[identity profile] anahata.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
I'm partial to honey mustard. I don't like mustard on sandwiches or burgers though. They're great for when you're cooking meals and you're using it for an ingredient. Especially for sauces. They go great in a creamy sauce when the flavour is just a tad too bland.

Whole grain mustard is great too. I've never tried the slighty spicy stuff. Though, because it's me, I'll be adding cayenne to it to kick it up a little. I'll make note of that.

Whew. I can make a whole conversation about mustard alone. Go me.

... are you the man on the Quaker Oats box?

[identity profile] thescarletwoman.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
*GASP* I've been found out!

Who would win in a snark off? House, Draco Ar-Armach, or Sirius?

[identity profile] thescarletwoman.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
OOOH. Now that's a tough one.

I really don't know. I suspect it'll come down to something between House and Draco. House will try to use his acerbic wit -- Draco... his charming good looks.

That's a contest I'd like to see.

why don't snakes have legs? (that was from Jeff)

How can an 8 pound cat take up an entire bed (queen size) and feel like she's 100 pounds?

[identity profile] thescarletwoman.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
To Jeff: They prefer the whole slithering motion. Less energy to slither around.

For Faithy: it's because of this simple fact. Dogs have owners -- cats have staff.

[identity profile] faithfullove.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Jeff don't believe you....

As for the cats and staff... It's bad enough with the kids... I get woke up to the kids and the cats wanting fed... then it continues... clean my litter box, give me cat nip, where's my toy mouse?

hehe.. if you ever think you want kids raise a kat first... make sure it's female... they are the fun ones.

Hiya!! I've somehow missed this latest bit of wank, and it sounds as though I should be thankful for that. ;) Anyway, glad to hear you're still hanging in there. I'm swamped and struggling to stay afloat as well. It's paper season for me, and I currently have just under three weeks to write four papers totaling 55 pages. ><

With everything that's been going on, did you manage to write your merry_smutmas? Somehow I managed to get my own exchange fics done, although my harry_holidays was turned in very slightly late. Oh, and FYI, my Kinky Kristmas fic for daily_deviant is a Snupin. It goes up on the 14th. ;)

In keeping with the established trend: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood??

[identity profile] thescarletwoman.livejournal.com 2006-12-05 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
It was huge for some people... but I've been removed from Fandom for a while so... *shrugs* whatever. As I say -- I am who I say I am. Yippie for paper season. You'll do it for sure -- I know you will! :)

And yes, I did manage to get my smutmas fic in... and JUST about on time too! Still have to get to witch_winter, so we'll see about that one. And YAY I'll have to check that out. I'm always in the mood for a good snupin. :D

(which -- yes, we'll get back to SoC. I just have to settle my mind down first and a few other things. *sigh*)

And for your question: a woodchuck would chuck lots of wood if a woodchuck could chuck wood. :D

Update on that previously mentioned Kinky Kristmas Snupin fic -- I just posted it here, if you're interested. :)
