It's 6:30 7:30 in the bloody am and I'm awake. I went to bed super early last night because I was exhausted.

And now 6 hours later, I'm awake and can't sleep. Body, I hate you.

In other good news? I now have a job. I'm working for the evil empire Starbucks. Won't complain because it's a job, I'm working roughly 20 hours a week starting on the 11th. Yippie and paycheck and able to save to go places this year.

Yes, that's why it was. At least I was able to get back to bed for a little bit.

And yeah, I get benefits. I have to work 20 hours a week for about 2 months, then I get them. My boss said she'd do her best to make sure I got 20 hours as, yes, need health insurance.

Starbucks? FUN. I do think they're evil, but I'd still love to work there. :D

It's why we (jokingly) call them the evil empire.

THere's a coffee house where my college is (or was. I'm not IN school, but the college is, obviously, still there) that had the slogan "friends don't let friends drink starbucks."

I always found it to be amusing. :D

There's an independent coffe house near my house called the Beehive, and they have stickers like that. :)

*cries and whines* LIIIIAAAA.... all the kids in my teaching session are brats...
The sessions meet at a pre-scheduled time (set by the prof), and they're required, and still there was one girl who asked me tonight "Can we like, take a vote or something to find a different time for this thing? Because, like, it's really inconvenient." Raaarrr!

In other news, karma caught up to The B.W. Brat *snicker* IM me or something if you haven't already heard about it.
And do you want to go to AMS with me?
Oh, and can you teach me to make fun coffee drinks now?! *hopeful, puppy eyes*

Ok, I think that's all...

*peeeeeeeeets* My poor Alexis. Perhaps I'll have to come down there, swords in hand and beat the little brats into submission. Yes, I work well with kids. Really.

(Also, I know why I never wanted to teach privately, save how GOOD the money is. OMG. 7 year old with the attention span of a GNAT.)

I HAVEN"T heard, so I'll drop you a line this week. This is David's weekend and thus... craaaziness around here.

Not sure. When and where is it?

Hhhhhrrrrrm. Hard to say. Especially knowing how in love with coffee we both are. *g* Can I say 'weekly trip to Book & Bean after Bach Seminar'? *cough, cough*

It is sort of nice to revive my tyrant alter-ego (They only THINK T.A. stands for "teaching assistant", it really stands for "Tyrant Alexis" in this case), but the kids can still be pretty bratty. But they're sophomores, so I guess I shouldn't expect TOO much out of them...

Here's a little something to pique your interest: If you were still at BW, you wouldn't have to put up with The Brat at all anymore, how about that!

AMS is in Los Angeles this year, and it's from Nov. 2-5, I believe. Fun times, really.

Was it really only "weekly"? I think we got up to "bi-weekly" or even "tri-weekly" on occasion (depending on the number of stress-outs and break downs for the week) :P Yay for coffee!
